The Unknown is the Adventure

We evolve not because our egos want it, but because the excitement and possibilities often out weight the consequences of status quo.

We are standing in a moment like no other. The uncertainty of the future has opened a door for the radical re-imagining of common life.

When I think about this moment, I think about the explorer Ernest Shackleton and the myth of his famous ad:

Men wanted for a hazardous journey. Low wages, bitter cold, long hours of complete
darkness. Safe return doubtful. Honour and recognition in event of success”

I think if Shackleton were here now, his words might sound like this…..

“People wanted for the hazardous and rewarding journey of re-imagining common life. Uncertain wages, bittersweet surrender, and long hours of isolation in search of the unknown.  Return to our prior selves unlikely.  Internal honour and recognition in event of success”.

What is life asking of us in this moment? Who do we want to be on the other side? And If we
can accept there is no going back, then where pray tell shall we go?

Time will tell and fate will decide. Our only real choice is whether to answer the call.

Stay wild, Stay Free and Keep Dreaming.

We were made for this.

Kimberly

Thank you to Clinton Ackerman for his amazing playwright and introducing me to the story of Ernest Shackleton. You were right, this story does need to be told.
